PRETTY ELENA TURNS 1

The first time I photographed this adorable little girl she was still in the womb, carried by her sweet surrogate, yet she already had a better wardrobe than mine.

A year later, nothing changed at all :) besides her looking extra ADORABLE, she still has a better wardrobe. That's one of the advantage of having two stylish dads.

All three braved the crazy 100 degree weather to celebrate Elena's first birthday and cake smash, and they looked fabulous doing it. You cannot even see the sweat dripping, but we definitely had the AC blasting in our cars as soon as the session was done!! Totally worth it though, don't you think? Check out her crown and her vintage car :)

This was her first outfit, a beautiful custom dress by Olive & Elvie.

Remember to always pack your child's favorite snack for photos. Animal Crackers is what got us the most smiles for this session:) And a fun toy to ride or play with. The vintage car got us a lot of smiles too!

Maria and Sean in Paris

I bet this isn't what you expected when you read Paris in the title :) this is Paris, Texas, not Paris, France. And this is Maria and Sean at their beautiful home in Paris.

Maria and Sean are lucky to live in the country, surrounded by nature and horses. Yes my dream life basically.

Maria is also a photographer, which can sometimes be a little intimidating. But we had so much fun and they let me get creative with their Jeep after the sun went down, which was really cool.

I also got to snap a few portraits of Maria in her second outfit right before the sun went completely down, and there are some of my favorite portraits to this day, and not just because they include my favorite animal :) but because she is so gorgeous and such a sweet soul.

Thanks again Maria and Sean for allowing me to capture some memories for you and ride your horses too :) Best ending to a shoot EVER!

PS: you don't have to let me ride your horse when you book me for a shoot, but you do have to allow me to love on him/her

PS2: I will be wearing riding pants just in case :)

Cora turns 2!

When Holly reached out about birthday photos for Cora's second birthday, all she had to say was "I have 3 outfits, is that too much?" for me to be completely onboard.

We don't have a dog because my husband is highly allergic. But I grew up with dogs and horses, so I love animals and when I owned my horse, I loved dressing him up to match me:) So yes cute animal outfits are awesome and pet birthday celebrations should be completely normalized. 'cause how cute is Cora???

When Holly adopted Cora, they said she might not even make it to living until she was one year-old. But here she is: 2 years-old and HAPPY!!
